Kenmerkend is het lekker frisse citroenaroma.<\/p>\n<p>De Citroenbasilicum kan meegekookt in kipgerechten, visgerechten, salades, of als garnering bij ijs of andere toetjes.<\/p>\n<p>Zet het plantje op een lichte plek, maar niet in de volle zon. Geef het plantje dagelijks een beetje water (niet op het blad). Bewaar takjes van de Amerikaanse basilicum nooit in de koelkast, dan worden ze zwart. Hak, snij of scheur de blaadjes en voeg ze aan het einde van de bereidingstijd van het gerecht toe.
