Voornamelijk rond de golf van Napels, de Amalfi kust, het eiland Capri en Sicili\u00eb.<\/p>\n<p>Traditioneel gezien wordt Limoncello gemaakt met Citroenen uit de omgeving van Sorrento, echter, ook andere Citroenen mogen worden gebruikt. Indien limoncello wordt gemaakt met Citroenen uit de omgeving Sorrento, mag de limoncello de naam \u2018Liquore di Limone di Sorrento P.G.I.\u2019 (Protected Geographical Indicator) dragen. Dit is gebaseerd op Europese richtlijnen die Sorrento Citroenen beschermen.<\/p>\n<p>Limoncello hoort bij 4 \u00e0 5\u00b0C gedronken te worden of naar eigen smaak op diepvriestemperatuur. Het alcoholpercentage ligt tussen de 30\u201335 %.<\/p>\n<p>Alhoewel Limoncello oorspronkelijk enkel als digestief wordt gedronken na de maaltijd, wordt het ook meer en meer in cocktails gemengd. Populair zijn mixen met Prosecco en Tonic.<\/p>\n<p>Limoncello wordt tegenwoordig ook steeds meer gebruikt in recepten, gemengd als saus, als ingredi\u00ebnt in een frisse salade of in desserts, Tiramis\u00f9 al Limoncello.<\/p>\n<p>Limoncello is eenvoudig zelf te maken. Voor het beste resultaat worden Citroenen van Sorrento en alcohol van 95% gebruikt.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Recept<\/strong><br \/>\n750 ml Limoncello<br \/>\nBereidingstijd: 20 minuten<br \/>\nKoel serveren<\/p>\n<p><strong>Benodigdheden<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Weckpot (1 liter)<\/li>\n<li>Pan<\/li>\n<li>Dunschiller<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Ingredi\u00ebnten<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>750 ml\u00a0alcohol 95%<\/li>\n<li>250 gram witte suiker<\/li>\n<li>200 ml water<\/li>\n<li>schillen van 10 biologische Citroenen<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Bereiden<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Citroenen goed afspoelen en schillen met een dunschiller, alleen het gele gedeelte.<\/p>\n<p>De kleingesneden stripjes citroenschil in een weckpot doen en alle alcohol toevoegen. Goed afsluiten en wegzetten op een donkere plek voor een periode van 4 tot 10 dagen. Af en toe omschudden.<\/p>\n<p>Na deze periode de suiker en een halve liter water in een pan op laag vuur tot een siroop laten inkoken, daarna de alcohol (zonder citroenschilletjes) toevoegen en laten afkoelen.<\/p>\n<p>Giet het mengsel in flessen en hoe langer je het laat inwerken des te beter wordt de smaak.<\/p>\n<p>n.b.: niet-biologische Citroenen bevatten veelal bestrijdingsmiddelen en kunnen daarom niet worden gebruikt.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Limoncello is een Italiaanse likeur die geproduceerd wordt in het zuiden van Itali\u00eb.
