\"\"De prachtige barokke oranjerie van\u00a0Schloss Weikersheim<\/a><\/span><\/strong> <\/span>in de Taubervallei, Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg is sinds 1997 opnieuw gebruikt voor overwintering van Citroenbomen.<\/p>\n

Kasteel Weikersheim is een van de belangrijkste grafelijke residenties van Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg. Het werd rond 1600 door het huis Hohenlohe in renaissancestijl gebouwd en in 1709 en de jaren daarna onder graaf Carl Ludwig grondig verbouwd en opnieuw ingericht.<\/p>\n

Toen graaf Carl Ludwig von Hohenlohe (1674 \u20131756) de residentie aan het begin van de 18e eeuw overnam en hier meer dan 50 jaar werkzaam was, kregen het kasteel en het park het uiterlijk dat tot op heden nog bijna onveranderd behouden is. De lusthof van het kasteel werd aangelegd en kreeg met de oranjerie, die de tuin als een theaterdecor begrenst, een vorstelijke en harmonieuze bekroning. De indeling van de bloembedden volgt de originele plannen: de beplanting wisselt met de jaargetijden de Herculesfontein met in het midden een draak die het water meters hoog de lucht in spuwt.<\/p>\n
